Charles GaylerCharles Gayler founded Eastern Refinishing in 1989 with a small investment of just $10,000 and developed it into the leading bathtub and wall tile refinishing business in the country with 15 offices in 8 states. Charles Gayler developed new techniques and tested new products in the pursuit to produce the finest refinishing processes. Charles Gayler also implemented quality control standards unheard of in the refinishing industry.Prior to founding Eastern Refinishing Charles Gayler attended Villa Maria College in Buffalo, New York. After majoring in “ping pong” for 3 semesters Charles Gayler joined the air force (reserve), served his time, and as soon as he could Charles Gayler enrolled at The Ohio State University where Charles Gayler obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Labor and Human Resources in 1981. Charles Gayler went to work for the Hearst Corporation in their management training program where he worked 82 hours a week +6 days a week. After 10 months Charles Gayler was given the 45th of 45 offices in the company in Charlotte, North Carolina where he raised the office to fifth in the country in 5 months and within 1 year it was the most productive office in the country with $4,300,000 in sales per month. Charles Gayler was offered his own dealership and spent the next few years building the company. Eventually Charles Gayler accepted a generous offer to sell and purse other interests. This led him back to school again to pursue another degree in psychology and to expand the human experience.

A former Texan, Charles Gayler currently reside in northern Canada with his wife Tracey and 359 lbs. of semi-domesticated dogs. They greatly enjoy the outdoors that can only be experienced on Gaylers’ 152 acre estate with 8 ponds, Gaylers’ own island and our dogs. Charles Gayler truly enjoys nature and live in harmony with the many species of animals that reside on his property including bear, deer, beaver….. even porcupines. Charles Gayler respects the environment and do his part everyday to protect it. In fact, Charles Gayler even produces his own electricity with a 108′ tall wind turbine and 15 solar panels.
