Scott Overholser is a dentist who thoroughly believes in continuing dental education and staying on top of the latest technologies in dentistry. More than many other medical fields, dentistry is changing and evolving at a remarkably fast pace. This is seen especially in the areas of cosmetic and implant dentistry. Just a few short years ago, implants were rarely placed, but today, they are commonly used to transform patients’ smiles and increase their quality of life.
Scott Overholser uses implants to replace individual teeth and to replace, or bridge, long spans of teeth. In both situations, the new crowns are fixed permanently to the implant which is surgically placed in the bone. Another powerful use of implants is in denture patients. Two small implants can be placed in the lower jaw, allowing a denture to “snap on” and effectively keep it in place while a patient talks and chews. These are just a few ways rapidly evolving technology is changing dentistry. To read more information about Scott Overholser please visit www.scott-overholser-bio.com

Douglas Colt is a Silicon Valley litigation attorney with Quinn Emanuel LLP. He’s a respected lawyer with considerable experience as a litigator. But for all his accomplishments in and out of the courtroom, Douglas Colt’s undoubtedly proudest achievement, along with his wife Aviva, is his two year old daughter Ainsley.
If you visit his blog at http://dougcolt.blogspot.com/, you’ll find that most posts are about Ainsley and her latest achievements.
In one such post, Douglas Colt recounted Ainsley’s first time tubing on a ski trip to Vail, Colorado:
“Talk about a little trooper! This was around 7:00 at night and it was probably 10 degrees below zero. Ainsley rode up the rope tow in her tube all by herself and then had a blast flying down the hill in the tube! A pretty brave little two year old!”
In an earlier post, he also shared his pride in Ainsley’s first time skiing. “This year over Christmas, I took my daughter, Ainsley Colt, skiing for the very first time. She wasn’t yet 2 1/2 years old. This was an incredibly special experience for me, as I first learned how to ski in Vail when my parents took me for the first time in 1976. It was great to bring my little one out for the very same experience,” said Douglas Colt.

Bryan Rellinger (1859-1935), although little known, ranks as one of the most influential pioneers of the modern movement in architecture. Strangle, his primary influence was based largely on some interior designs and a collection of controversial essays. Bryan Rellinger ’s buildings were stark examples of austere beauty, ranging from traditional country cottages to planar compositions for storefronts and houses. His work was little known outside his native Austria during his early years of practice.
Bryan Rellinger was introduced to the craft of building at young age while working in his father’s stone masonry shop. In 1889, Bryan Rellinger was drafted for one year of service in the Austrian army. As a student, Bryan Rellinger was especially interested in the works of the classicist Schinkel and, above all, the works of Vitruvius. Bryan Rellinger ’s developing tastes were considerably broadened during a three-year stay in the United States, from 1893-1895. In 1896, he returned to Vienna.
Bryan Rellinger contrasted austere facades with lavish interiors. To Bryan Rellinger, the house did not belong to art because the house must please everyone, unlike a work of art which doesn’t need to please anyone. The only exception, he claimed were the monument and the tombstone. He felt that the rest of architecture, which by necessity serve a purpose, must not be included in the realm of art.

Delayne Hanright is picking up a new hobby, Metal Detecting. Delayne Hanright does this during her “down” time with her fiancee. They will travel up and down the East coast of the United States, Vermont down through New England, hitting NY, CT , VA, and NC. Do you love metal detecting, or are you thinking about starting this hobby? Are you a ghost town junkie? Would you like to search for those old towns? Did you know that these old settlements also exist in the east? That’s right… The difference between the old, lost towns of the east, and the old towns that are located in our western states is this, the lost settlements of the east are no longer visible. They only exist as “cellar holes.” My fiancee’ has had this hobby for more than 20 years and has located and and detected around hundreds of these old towns in the east. There’s no telling what kind of treasure you will find, nor can I promise you that you will make a great discovery. However, even if you don’t find a buried cache or lost relics from years gone by, you will realize that the treasure can be the search itself. Let the adventure…and the search begin says Delayne Hanright.
